MEMBERSHIP UPDATE
To our new members, welcome! Please make sure to fill out the registration form located on our website. If you haven't already done so, please bring a check for $25 made payable to STAPLES HIGH SCHOOL to tomorrow's meeting. Returning student and parent members do not need to fill out a new registration form. Instead, please email updates to personal information to membership@shsslobs.com and bring a check for $25.00 made payable to STAPLES HIGH SCHOOL to tomorrow's meeting. Include the student's last name and 2024/2025 school year in the memo line. For those who have already sent in their checks, THANK YOU! Dues enable us to buy the supplies we need to help us complete service projects.
SEPTEMBER DONATION DRIVE
The GILLESPIE CENTER
This month, SLOBs will be donating items to the food pantry at the Gillespie Center in Westport, an emergency shelter for single men. Please bring any of the following items to the meeting on Tuesday:
Canned Meats - Chicken, Tuna, SPAM
Peanut ButterJam/Jelly
Canned Vegetables
Pasta Sauce
Ketchup
Mayonnaise
Food donations can be dropped on your way into the meeting outside the Staples cafeteria door. 1/2 hour of credit will go to the SLOBs member for donating

The Gillespie Center
The Center needs SLOBs to help provide a healthy lunch to residents and community clients on Tuesdays and Sundays (both days are drop off only), Volunteers are asked to provide 8 individually bagged/boxed lunches that include a sandwich, fruit, chips and dessert OR a family-style meal to be served in disposable trays. NO nuts or shellfish please. Drop-off for meals is at 11:30 am.
The Gillespie Center is currently closed for renovations. They are temporarily relocated to The Linxweiler House at 655 Post Road East in Westport (next to McDonalds). Please deliver meals to the side of the house by the driveway. At this time they are unable to accommodate volunteers inside to serve meals.
